AIR CHECK IN PROCEDURES ON MARTINAIR CODED FLIGHTS
Jumpseat requester
will approach the ticket counter for check-in. The jumpseat requester
will be a cockpit crew member for another airline and will present
a valid FAA License and valid Company ID. The staff will check-in
the jumpseat requester as a "go-show" passenger and
assign any available seat. Check-in staff to enter "Jumpseat" comment
in the record for benefit of the cabin crew. If no seats are available, the
staff may create a "fake" seat as we are familiar with on the B767
operation. Keep in mind that there are two available flight attendant cabin
jumpseats that may be assigned at the Captain's discretion. If the jumpseat
requester has any baggage to check (rare, of course!) it will be tagged as "stand-by." Jumpseat
requester will proceed to the gate. Prior to boarding, it his required that
the Captain be introduced to the jumpseat requester and he will verify the
credentials presented. With the Captain's approval, the jumpseat requester
will be boarded and baggage loaded.
It is understood that, in the event of a fully-booked flight, MP staff will
have priority.
